“Life isn’t about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself.” – George Bernard Shaw
The very earliest parts of life are about discovering ourselves as a distinct part of the world, like in a movie when the image starts way out of focus then slowly becomes sharper and sharper until everything is clear. That’s the beginning, figuring out what is.
But it doesn’t take too long to get there. When I do, I gain the opportunity to shift from “figuring out what is” to “deciding what will be.” Now the journey is about creating and manifesting. Taking my destiny into my own hands.
That’s a big responsibility, but it is also an awesome gift! This is the point where my choices become incredibly important. Now I have the power to choose my own path.
I can choose to open and expand my possibilities or constrict them. I can choose to follow my own compass or meet the expectations of others.
Considering the potential of a human life, this is a lot of power indeed!
